Bangla Housing Association has been successful in its £50k bid to National Lottery COVID Recovery Plan, for the association’s COVID Advice Project, where two Bangladeshi speaking Health Advice Project Workers will deliver COVID advice out to 10000 Bangladeshi households in Hackney and Tower Hamlets.
The Bangladeshi Community in London is recognised as one the BAME communities most at risk of fatalities, given the statistics published by Public Health England in its report on the disproportionality of the impact of COVID 19 during the summer.

We are looking to recruit a new Board member with Finance background, preferably from the social housing sector. You will be joining our friendly and enthusiastic Board of management supporting a dedicated management team. This is a voluntary position. Bangla will reimburse any out of pocket expenses for attending meetings/conferences and training for Bangla purposes.
Generally, the Board meets once every two months at the Bangla office on a Thursday evening from 6.15pm to 8.30pm. A Board away day (one day from 9.30am – 3.30pm) is held in November each year. The AGM is held on a Thursday evening in September of each year.
